Haryana Chief Minister Chairs High-Level PRAGATI Review Meeting for Development Projects
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday presided over a crucial high-level PRAGATI review meeting to comprehensively evaluate the advancement of major ongoing development initiatives across the state. Emphasizing the critical importance of timely execution, the chief minister issued clear directives to all departments to accelerate work and prioritize the resolution of any bottlenecks hindering progress.
Detailed Review of Key Infrastructure and Urban Development Projects
During the extensive review session, Chief Minister Saini meticulously examined the status of pivotal projects spanning urban development, health infrastructure, tourism, archaeology, and emergency services. A significant focus was placed on the ₹217 crore Augmentation Scheme for Master Water Supply in Faridabad. This ambitious project involves the installation of 12 Ranney Wells along the Yamuna river floodplains. Officials reported that the overall physical progress has reached an impressive 67%, with two Ranney Wells already completed and work on the remaining sites advancing in a structured, phased manner.
Regarding critical road infrastructure, the chief minister instructed the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to expedite the construction of the 120-metre-wide road from Bye-Pass Road to NH-8 in Rewari. This project is currently at 65% physical progress. Saini underscored the necessity of maintaining momentum to ensure timely completion for enhanced connectivity.
Progress on Specialized Facilities and Healthcare Infrastructure
The meeting also covered specialized facilities aimed at boosting sports and aquaculture. On the proposed World-Class Shooting Range in Panchkula, the chief minister was informed that tender negotiations have been successfully concluded, with allotment finalization expected imminently. He directed officials to ensure an early commencement of construction work. Similarly, the Integrated Aqua Park Centre of Excellence in Bhiwani was reviewed, with officials confirming that construction will begin shortly following the necessary tender approvals. The foundation stone for this project has already been laid, marking a significant preparatory step.
Identifying the strengthening of healthcare infrastructure as a top governance priority, Chief Minister Saini conducted a thorough review of multiple hospital projects across Haryana. These included the development of a 200-bedded hospital at Fatehabad, a 100-bedded hospital at Tohana, the upgradation of Civil Hospital in Gurugram from 100 to 200 beds, and the establishment of a Critical Care Block at Ambala Cantt. He issued firm instructions to officials, mandating that there be absolutely no compromise on construction quality or the standards of medical infrastructure, ensuring these facilities meet the highest benchmarks for public service.
Focus on Cultural Heritage and Museum Development
In the cultural and heritage sector, the progress of key projects was examined in detail. The chief minister was apprised that the Rakhigarhi Site Museum is nearing completion, with approximately 80% of the civil work already finished, and is anticipated to be ready for inauguration in the near future. Emphasizing the profound importance of heritage awareness, Chief Minister Saini directed that special educational visits be organized for school students. This initiative aims to provide young learners with first-hand exposure to the state's rich historical legacy, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of India's ancient civilization.
Saini also reviewed the advancement of the Sikh Museum and the Guru Ravidas Bhawan and Museum. He instructed the concerned departments to fast-track all pending administrative approvals, finalize architectural and design components at the earliest possible stage, and ensure strict adherence to established timelines.
