Hazaribag DC Reviews Jail and Medical College Works

Hazaribag: Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati on Monday reviewed facilities and ongoing development works at Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Central Jail, open jail-cum-rehabilitation centre, and Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital. During his inspection of various wards at the jail, he reviewed drinking water facilities, sanitation, sheds, CCTV surveillance systems, watch towers, and overall security arrangements.

Interaction with Inmates

At the open jail-cum-rehabilitation centre, the deputy commissioner interacted with convicted prisoners and enquired about their needs. The inmates expressed interest in receiving training in animal husbandry, following which the DC assured them that necessary arrangements would be made to facilitate such training.

Medical College Expansion

He also took stock of expansion works on the hospital campus and directed the executing agency to expedite construction. The review aimed to ensure timely completion of projects and improve infrastructure.
