The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday effected a major administrative reshuffle, ordering the transfer and posting of 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers. The move is aimed at streamlining administration and filling key vacancies across departments.
Key IAS Appointments
Abhishek Jain (2002 batch), who was serving as Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary (Finance and Planning), has been given additional charge as Financial Commissioner (Appeals). Sudesh Mokta (2010 batch), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary (Cooperation).
Amarjeet Singh (2010 batch), currently Secretary (Cooperation), will continue to hold additional charge of Secretary (Town and Country Planning and Home). Torul S Raveesh (2016 batch), Managing Director of State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd and General Industries Corporation, has been posted as Director (Land Records).
Mid-Career IAS Moves
Abhishek Verma (2018 batch), formerly Director (Land Records), will now function as Managing Director of HP Milkfed. Ajay Kumar Yadav (2018 batch) has been posted as Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation. Mahendra Pal Gurjar (2018 batch), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Una, has been posted as Director (Personnel and Finance) of Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation.
Rahul Jain, previously ADC of Solan, has been posted as Managing Director of Mahila Vikas Nigam, Solan, and will hold additional charge of Registrar of Horticulture University, Nauni, Solan.
Junior IAS Officers in New Roles
Dinyanshu Singh (2020 batch), Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Solan. He will be replaced by Om Kant Sharma (2020 batch), who moves from ADC Bilaspur to the Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation.
Gursimar Singh (2021 batch), formerly SDM Mandi, has been posted as Managing Director of General Industries Corporation (GIC). Ishant Jaswal (2021 batch), SDM Kangra, becomes ADC Una. Rupinder Kaur (2021 batch), SDM Mandi, has been posted as ADC Bilaspur. Rajdeep Singh (2021 batch), SDM Bilaspur, has been posted as Municipal Commissioner of Solan.
Priyanshu Khati (2020 batch), SDM Chamba, has been posted as ADC Mandi. Anjali Garg (2023 batch), Assistant Commissioner of Sirmaur, has been posted as SDM Kangra. Chandra Prakash (2023 batch), Assistant Commissioner-cum-Block Development Officer of Bhawarna (Kangra), has been posted as SDM Mandi.
HAS Officers Transferred
In addition to the IAS officers, the government also transferred 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers to various positions, though their specific postings were not detailed in the official order.
