The district administration of Kanpur has announced that it will conduct a meeting every Friday to address the grievances of entrepreneurs in the district. This decision was taken by District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh during a review meeting of Zila Udyog Bandhu and Vyapar Bandhu. He instructed that officials should not wait for scheduled meetings but must ensure immediate resolution of issues.
Time-Bound Resolution Emphasized
Singh clarified that resolving industry and trade-related issues within a stipulated timeframe is the primary responsibility of the administration. All departments are required to take prompt action on such matters. He further directed that pending cases on the Nivesh Mitra portal be disposed of on a regular and daily basis, specifically the 18 cases that have exceeded the stipulated timeframe. Instructions were also issued to write a letter to the Housing Commissioner against the concerned official for failing to provide information regarding these pending cases.
Action Against Absenteeism
During the meeting, the District Magistrate ordered that one day's salary be withheld from Praveen Yadav, Executive Engineer of Jal Nigam, for remaining absent without permission.
Infrastructure and Encroachment Issues Raised
The IIA raised the issue of making the Dada Nagar-Vijay Nagar route free of potholes. Additionally, the IIA, FITA, PIA, and Laghu Udyog Bharati highlighted the problem of encroachment on the green belt near the LLR T-junction. In response, the DM stated that in accordance with Supreme Court orders, a District Highway Task Force is being constituted.
