Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah officially inaugurated the newly established 108 command and control centre in Bengaluru on Monday. The facility, which is a 50-seat call centre, is designed to operate around the clock, ensuring that ambulances are dispatched 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies across the state.
Round-the-Clock Emergency Response
The command centre is staffed by trained operators who work in shifts to handle incoming distress calls. The centre is equipped with advanced technology to track the location of ambulances and coordinate with hospitals, reducing response times significantly. This initiative is part of the state government's efforts to strengthen emergency medical services.
