Ludhiana: Election officials and booth-level officers (BLOs) underwent rigorous training at the District Administrative Complex ahead of the Special Intensive Revision starting June 25. The session focused on utilizing the Election Commission's digital platform, ECINet, to detect and correct age and relationship discrepancies in voter records.
Training Highlights
Instructors highlighted specific anomalies for door-to-door verification, such as sibling age gaps under nine months or parent-child differences under 15 years. BLOs will physically verify these records during house visits.
Monitoring and Execution
The district's 284 supervisors were ordered to monitor progress via digital dashboards and physically audit 10% of the work. Across the district, 2,927 BLOs will execute the field exercise to ensure clean electoral rolls.
