Mangaluru: Water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in several parts of Mangaluru city from 6 am on Monday to 6 am on Tuesday due to maintenance work by the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).
Reason for Shutdown
According to the MCC, the shutdown is required to replace a Non-Return Valve (NRV) on the 1,100-mm-diameter main pipeline that carries water from the Thumbe LLPS-2 80 MLD pumping station to the city.

During the period, water supply will be completely suspended in the following areas:

- Maroli
- Kankanady
- Mangaladevi
- Jeppu
- Falnir
- Mulihithlu
- Bolar
- Car Street
- Mannagudda
- Pandeshwar
- State Bank
- Shaktinagar
- Kannur
- Bajal
- Jappinamogaru
- Alape
- Attavar
- Ulhasnagar
- Chilimbi
- Kodikal
- Urwa Store
- Ashoknagar
- Kudupu
- Vamanjoor
- Bondel
- Kavoor
- Parts of Marakada
Residents in these areas are advised to store water in advance to meet their needs during the maintenance period. The MCC has assured that water supply will be restored as soon as the replacement work is completed.
