Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi officially kicked off a Rs 5 crore road re-carpeting project in Sector 15 on Tuesday. The initiative aims to enhance the city's infrastructure and provide smoother commuting experiences for residents.

Project Details

The re-carpeting work covers several key roads in Sector 15, including internal roads and main arteries. The project is expected to be completed within two months, weather permitting. The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) is overseeing the execution to ensure high-quality standards.

Speaking at the launch event, Mayor Joshi emphasized the importance of maintaining road quality for the safety and convenience of citizens. Traffic Management

To minimize inconvenience, the MCC has planned phased construction. Traffic diversions will be in place, and residents are advised to use alternative routes. The mayor urged cooperation from the public during the construction period.
