Ownership Rights Record Execution and Registration Scheme 2026
The cabinet approved the Ownership Rights Record Execution and Registration Scheme 2026, under which stamp duty and registration fees on ownership rights records will be waived. The state government will bear the cost of ₹3,800 crore for implementing this scheme. This initiative is expected to benefit millions of residents by simplifying property ownership documentation.
Healthcare Services Strengthened
Nearly ₹17,059 crore has been approved for strengthening healthcare services across the state. This includes upgrading hospitals, procuring medical equipment, and expanding primary healthcare centers. The move aims to improve access to quality healthcare, especially in rural areas.
Infrastructure and Education Initiatives
The cabinet approved a revised cost of ₹626.61 crore for the construction of the Pipliyahana District Court Building in Indore. Additionally, stitched school uniforms will be provided to students of classes 1 to 8, covering all government schools. This initiative will reduce the financial burden on families and promote uniform education standards.
Legal and Administrative Reforms
The draft to amend the MP Panchayat Raj and Gram Swaraj Act, 1993, was approved, aiming to strengthen local governance. Similarly, the draft to amend the Madhya Pradesh Cess Ordinance, 2026, was also approved. The cabinet ratified the SGST exemption for the books 'Tanvi The Great' and 'Shatakah: Sangh Ke 100 Varsh', promoting literary works.
Judicial Inquiry Commission for Bargi Reservoir Accident
The formation of a Judicial Inquiry Commission to investigate the Bargi Reservoir accident was ratified. The commission will examine the causes and recommend preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the future.
