Mysuru Officials Laud Sanitation Workers for Cleanliness Success

Mysuru regional commissioner Nitesh Patil commended the city's sanitation workers on Tuesday. He highlighted their crucial role in maintaining Mysuru's high cleanliness standards. Patil serves as the administrator of the Mysuru City Corporation.

Officials Emphasize Worker Welfare and Safety

Patil inaugurated a capacity-building training programme for sanitation workers. The event took place at the State Urban Development Institute premises. It was organized under the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 by the Union government.

He stressed the importance of worker safety and comfort during duty hours. Patil issued directions to provide high-quality shoes and gloves to all sanitation staff. He also urged workers to prioritize their personal health and overall well-being.

Discipline and Future Security Discussed

JD(S) MLC CS Manjegowda addressed the gathering of sanitation workers. He shared his experiences from his time as a soldier. Manjegowda encouraged the workers to maintain discipline in both their professional and personal lives.

He emphasized the value of good health and proper education. Manjegowda advised workers to focus on nurturing their children into responsible citizens. This would ensure a bright future for the next generation.

Asad-ur-Rehman Sharif, director of the State Urban Development Institute, also spoke at the event. He acknowledged the vital role sanitation workers play in urban hygiene maintenance. Sharif advised them to remain vigilant about their future security and welfare.

Officials Study Mysuru's Waste Management Practices

Several key officials attended the training programme. MCC health officer Dr Venkatesh was present. Executive engineer Srinivas from the West zone participated. Zonal commissioners Ramesh and Manjunatha Reddy attended the event.

Assistant executive engineer Meenakshi joined the gathering. Environmental engineers and health inspectors were also in attendance.

Meanwhile, over ninety officials and staff members visited Mysuru from other cities. They came from the Hubballi-Dharwad and Ballari City Corporations. These visitors aimed to study and receive training on Mysuru's best practices in solid waste management.
