NHAI Revises FASTag Annual Pass Fee to Rs 3,075 from April 1

NHAI Announces Revised FASTag Annual Pass Fee Starting April 1, 2026

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has officially revised the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass, increasing it from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026–27. This adjustment will take effect from April 1, 2026, as confirmed in an official statement released on Sunday.

Key Details of the Fee Revision

According to the NHAI, the revision aligns with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. The FASTag Annual Pass, which has garnered over 56 lakh users since its launch on August 15, 2025, continues to see growing adoption among private vehicle owners seeking a hassle-free travel experience.

The revised rate applies to eligible non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag. These vehicles can avail the Annual Pass facility at approximately 1,150 fee plazas located on national highways and expressways across India.

Benefits and Activation Process

The FASTag Annual Pass eliminates the need for frequent recharges by allowing users to pay a one-time fee. This provides either one year of validity or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, offering significant convenience and cost savings for regular commuters.

To activate the pass, vehicle owners must pay the one-time fee through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the NHAI website. Once payment is completed, the annual pass is activated on the vehicle's existing FASTag within two hours, ensuring seamless access to toll plazas.

Impact and User Response

The overwhelming response to the FASTag Annual Pass highlights its role as a cost-effective and efficient travel option for national highway users. By streamlining toll payments, it reduces congestion and enhances the overall driving experience on India's extensive highway network.

With this fee revision, NHAI aims to maintain the sustainability of toll operations while continuing to provide value to millions of commuters. Vehicle owners are advised to update their passes accordingly to avoid any disruptions in service.
