Man stabbed to death in east Delhi park, three juveniles held

A man was allegedly stabbed to death following an altercation at a park in east Delhi's Kondli area on Sunday. Police have apprehended three juveniles in connection with the incident.

According to police, a PCR call was received at 12:03 am reporting a person lying injured at DDA Park in Kondli, under the Mayur Vihar Phase-III area, as reported by news agency PTI.

The victim was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

"During the investigation, it emerged that the deceased had visited the park on Saturday evening with two friends. Around 11:30 pm, while they were leaving, a minor collision allegedly led to a heated argument between the victim and three youths," a police officer said.

The dispute soon escalated into violence, during which the youths allegedly attacked the victim with a sharp-edged weapon, stabbing him multiple times before fleeing the spot, PTI reported.

Crime and forensic teams inspected the scene, and an FIR was registered based on eyewitness accounts, police said. The three juveniles allegedly involved in the incident were later identified and apprehended.

Further investigation in the case is underway, officials added.
