Flagship Initiative in Dahej PCPIR

One of the flagship initiatives is a 90 MLD offshore and onshore effluent disposal pipeline connecting the Saykha Pumping Station to the Dahej landfall point in the Dahej Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR). Built at a cost of Rs 474.61 crore, the project includes civil works, electro-mechanical systems, and PLC-SCADA components, along with a five-year operation and maintenance plan. Officials said this project is expected to significantly improve effluent disposal and environmental management in the Dahej and Saykha industrial areas.

The Dahej PCPIR region currently has more than 1,000 operational industrial units, with infrastructure supporting sectors such as chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, dyes and intermediates, and engineering.

Infrastructure Upgrades in Bharuch

In Jambusar taluka of Bharuch district, roads, a storm-water drainage network, and a central drain have been developed at the Bulk Drug Park at a cost of Rs 274.96 crore to support pharmaceutical manufacturing. A 30 MLD drainage pumping station for the Dahej-2 Industrial Estate, along with a rising main connecting the Suva Pumping Station to the final pumping station at Z-93, has also been developed to strengthen industrial drainage and the integrated effluent conveyance network.

Additional projects include infrastructure upgrades in the Panoli Extension Industrial Estate, an intermediate booster pumping station on the Ankleshwar effluent transmission pipeline, and the upgrade of Natural Drain-2 in the Dahej-1 Industrial Estate to improve storm-water carrying capacity and reduce waterlogging.

Environmental Infrastructure in Valsad

In Valsad district, Modi will inaugurate two GIDC projects in Sarigam focused on environmental infrastructure. The capacity of the Common Effluent Treatment Plant has been expanded from 15 MLD to 25 MLD, enhancing treatment capability and environmental compliance. The Sarigam projects also include an HDPE onshore-offshore outfall pipeline, sump, and pumping station connected to a deep-sea discharge system.
