Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the 5th meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Group of Ministers (IGoM) in Delhi to review risks to energy supply chains and the availability of essential commodities amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Rajnath Singh assured that the government is taking concrete steps to avoid shortages and urged people to remain calm and not panic. He emphasized that the administration is committed to maintaining a steady flow of essential resources despite global uncertainties.
Modi's Appeal for Energy Conservation
Singh referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent appeal for collective participation and energy conservation, describing it as a crucial step towards self-reliance. He noted that such measures are vital for strengthening India’s energy security during periods of global instability.
