A four-member team from the Yamunanagar district administration conducted inspections of marriage palaces, hotels, dhabas, and party halls operating in areas under the Vyaspur sub-division on July 8, 2026. The drive aimed to enforce safety standards and verify mandatory permissions.
Inspection Team Composition
The team included Naib Tehsildar Vyaspur Ravinder Kumar, SHO Vyaspur Vinod Kumar, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Shyam Lal Sharma, and the SDO of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. They examined records related to basic facilities and required licenses.
Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar stated that the inspection was conducted on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Preeti under the guidance of Vyaspur SDM Kuldeep Singh.
Scope of Inspections
According to officials, the team inspected seven establishments, including marriage palaces and party halls, across the sub-division. They verified owner details, seating capacity, and permissions from departments such as the civic body, the District Town Planner, and the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Parking arrangements and the functioning of CCTV cameras were also reviewed.
Ravinder Kumar said, “The team verified details of the owners, seating capacity and permissions obtained from various departments, including the civic body, the District Town Planner and the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Parking arrangements and the functioning of CCTV cameras were also inspected.”
Directives to Operators
All operators were directed to ensure full compliance with prescribed safety standards and government regulations. Establishments lacking required permissions or incomplete safety formalities were instructed to complete them at the earliest. The team also advised operators to maintain adequate security arrangements to handle fire and other emergencies during marriage functions.
“The safety of the general public is our top priority. Marriage palaces, hotels and party halls will continue to be inspected from time to time,” Ravinder Kumar added.
