Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken serious note of the extensive damage caused by strong storms, heavy rain, and lightning in several districts of the state early Friday. In response, he has directed all District Magistrates (DMs) to intensify relief operations, assess the losses, and ensure the prompt release of relief funds.
Immediate Response to Hamirpur Incident
As soon as information about the Hamirpur accident was received, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath immediately assessed the situation and instructed the district administration to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing in coordination with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). Administrative officers have been clearly warned that any negligence in relief work will not be tolerated.
Directives to District Magistrates
The Chief Minister has directed DMs to visit the affected areas personally, conduct surveys, assess the extent of damage, and ensure that relief funds are released without any delay. He also instructed that relief and rescue operations be monitored regularly, and updated situation reports be submitted to the state government every three hours.

In addition, officials have been asked to share information regarding compensation distribution, relief camps, rescue operations, and other administrative activities on social media platforms. This step aims to ensure that accurate and timely information reaches the public.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to remain alert during adverse weather conditions, avoid unnecessary travel, and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the administration. He emphasized the importance of safety and cooperation during such natural calamities.
