Chhattisgarh Employees Demand 2% DA Arrears from State Government
CKAF Urges CM to Release Pending 2% DA for State Employees

The Chhattisgarh Karmchari Adhikari Federation (CKAF) has formally requested Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to release the pending 2% dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners. The federation, which serves as the umbrella body for over 100 government associations representing 4.5 lakh employees, submitted its appeal on Monday.

Current DA Disparity

CKAF state convenor and Chhattisgarh Gazetted Officers Association president Kamal Verma highlighted that state employees currently receive 58% DA, which is 2% lower than the central government rate. The Centre implemented a 2% DA hike effective from January 1, 2026.

Election Promise Reminder

The federation reminded the state administration of the BJP's election manifesto commitment to maintain DA parity with the central government. Rising inflation has created significant financial challenges for government personnel and pensioners, making the release of arrears from the effective date an urgent necessity.
