Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh is set to attend the high-profile India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for Friday at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This significant event will see the CM engaging with top industry leaders and formalizing several strategic agreements aimed at bolstering the state's technological capabilities.
Key Participation in Plenary Session on AI and Economic Growth
Naidu will actively contribute to the plenary session titled "AI Accelerators: Fueling India's Economic Growth". He will be joined by Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Jitin Prasada, and representatives from Tata Consultancy Services, highlighting the collaborative effort to drive India's AI agenda forward.
Major Agreements to Strengthen AI Infrastructure and Skills
The Andhra Pradesh government is poised to sign a series of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) designed to enhance AI infrastructure and skill development across the state. These agreements include:
- IBM Partnership: An MoU with IBM to train 1 million youth in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and cybersecurity, aiming to create a skilled workforce for the future.
- UNICC Collaboration: An agreement with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) to establish a Quantum and AI Centre of Excellence, fostering innovation and research in advanced technologies.
- NIEIT Initiative: An MoU with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIEIT) to set up a Quantum AI University, providing specialized education and training in AI and quantum sciences.
- IIT Madras Partnership: Collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras on an Artificial Intelligence Tutor initiative, leveraging academic expertise to enhance learning and development in AI.
- NVIDIA Alliance: A partnership with NVIDIA to establish AI Living Labs, creating real-world testing environments for AI applications and solutions.
High-Level Meetings with Global and National Leaders
During the summit, Chief Minister Naidu will hold crucial meetings with a diverse array of leaders and organizations. He is scheduled to meet with Quantela Inc Executive Chairman Sridhar Gadhi to discuss potential collaborations in smart technology solutions.
Additionally, Naidu will participate in a roundtable organized by the World Economic Forum, alongside Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and WEF CEO Borge Brende, focusing on global AI trends and policies.
Engagements with International Delegations and Corporate Executives
Further expanding his outreach, Naidu will engage in discussions with a UK delegation, including UK Minister for AI and Online Safety Kanishka Narayan, UK High Commissioner Lindy Cameron, and Minister Counsellor Sally Taylor, to explore bilateral opportunities in AI and technology.
He will also meet with key corporate figures such as Aramco India Managing Director Abdulrahman AiTukair, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, and Autodesk AI Head Mike Haley, aiming to attract investments and partnerships for Andhra Pradesh's tech ecosystem.
Travel Itinerary and Prior Engagements
Naidu departed for Jaipur on Thursday evening to attend the wedding of Vikas Marmat, project director of the Kuppam Area Development Authority. From Jaipur, he will proceed to New Delhi on Friday morning to participate in the India AI Impact Summit 2026, underscoring his commitment to advancing the state's technological and economic growth through strategic engagements.
