DAV Senior Sec Model School, Sector 8, Panchkula, celebrated Van Mahotsav to promote environmental awareness and inspire students to become responsible custodians of nature. Students from different classes participated in a variety of activities aimed at fostering eco-consciousness.
Activities by Class
Classes III and IV prepared colourful trees and wrote about their benefits. Class V organised a plantation drive. Class VI conducted a Van Mahotsav awareness rally. Class VII made paper bags from old newspapers and created A3 drawings on Van Mahotsav to promote recycling and discourage the use of plastic.
Poster-Making and Presentations
Class IX students participated in a poster-making competition, while Class XI (Commerce and Humanities) students delivered PowerPoint presentations highlighting the significance of forests and sustainable living.
Cultural Performance and Pledge
Students from classes III to XII also presented a vibrant dance performance on the theme of environmental conservation under the guidance of Vijay. The programme concluded with an environmental pledge administered by Jyotsna, during which students pledged to plant and nurture trees.
Leadership and Appreciation
The celebrations were organised under the leadership of Principal Ritu Dilbagi, who appreciated the efforts of the teachers, students and the entire school community in promoting environmental conservation and supporting a greener, more sustainable future.
