During a review of the Ganga Expressway project, the Chief Minister directed that construction work on this crucial expressway be completed by the end of February. The 594-kilometre long Ganga Expressway will pass through 12 districts and is expected to directly benefit more than 500 villages.

Yogi Adityanath highlighted that this expressway will significantly strengthen the state's connectivity and serve as a strong base for industrial, agricultural, and logistics activities. He noted that testing on the expressway is being conducted according to modern technical standards, including the roughness index and riding comfort index for comprehensive road quality assessment.

Additionally, high-standard wayside amenities, rest areas, road safety features, signage, and access-control systems are being developed to ensure a superior travel experience.

Irrigation and Water Conservation Projects

The Chief Minister also reviewed the Middle Ganga Canal project (Stage-2), emphasizing that irrigation projects are a vital medium for increasing agricultural production and boosting farmers' income. Upon completion, this project will expand irrigation facilities into large agricultural areas of Amroha, Moradabad, and Sambhal districts, thereby strengthening the rural economy.

During the review of the Erich irrigation project, it was highlighted as an important initiative towards ensuring water conservation, irrigation, and drinking water availability in the Bundelkhand region. The project aims to provide stability to agricultural works and assist in the better management of water resources. The CM directed that incomplete works related to this project be addressed immediately.

Energy Security and Hydroelectric Projects

On the hydroelectric projects in the Rihand and Obra areas, Yogi Adityanath stated that strengthening energy security is essential for the state's industrial development. Noida International Airport and Logistics Hubs

While reviewing the Noida International Airport in Jewar, the Chief Minister directed the completion of the land acquisition process for Phase-3. He remarked that the airport is poised to become a major centre of global connectivity, investment, and employment generation.

"With its launch, Uttar Pradesh is going to advance new possibilities as an air cargo hub. Therefore, the preparation for its upcoming phases should be ensured in time," he said.
