Gujarat CM Launches Praveshotsav School Enrolment Drive
Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday presided over an orientation session for government officials ahead of Praveshotsav, the annual school enrolment drive conducted by the state government across Gujarat later this month.
During the event, the CM also unveiled the State Curriculum Framework and School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework booklets, which are based on the National Education Policy (NEP). Additionally, he launched the Nipun Gujarat campaign.
Speaking at the event, Patel called for this year's enrolment drive to be transformed into a celebration of progress and urged everyone to ensure that all eligible children are enrolled in school. He stated that during Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav, every official visiting schools must engage in discussions with parents and explain the importance of holistic child development.
According to an official statement quoting the CM, just as Gujarat leads in other areas of development, it should also become a leader in education, and collective efforts are vital to achieve this goal. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi advised officials not to view the drive merely as an administrative duty but to participate wholeheartedly in shaping children's futures. He emphasized that teachers, along with parents, must adopt a social approach to ensure children maintain hygiene at school, wash their hands before meals, and improve their morning routines.
