Mandya district minister N Cheluvarayaswamy officially inaugurated the highly anticipated Flower Show 2026 on Friday at the horticulture department premises in Mandya. The event, which drew significant attention from local officials and the public, was designed as a comprehensive showcase of governmental efforts and community development.
Promoting Entrepreneurship and Welfare Schemes
In his address to the gathered audience, Minister Cheluvarayaswamy emphasized that the flower show was thoughtfully curated to highlight the various facilities, initiatives, and welfare schemes implemented by multiple government departments. He specifically noted that the department of agriculture created innovative floral artworks with the primary objective of motivating rural women to embrace entrepreneurship and actively participate in income-generating activities. Jointly organised by the Mandya district administration, zilla panchayat, and department of agriculture, this year's exhibition was noted to be larger and more vibrant than previous editions. Officials reported that it featured more than 2 lakh flowers arranged in creative and thematic displays, making it a visually stunning event.
