CM Nitish Kumar Conducts Detailed Inspection of BIPARD Skill Park in Patna

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar undertook a comprehensive inspection of the 'Dakshata Bhawan' facility at the BIPARD Skill Park on Wednesday. The skill development center is strategically located within the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) campus in the state capital. During his extensive visit, the Chief Minister meticulously reviewed the various training programs currently being conducted at the facility.

Focus on Infrastructure and Trainee Welfare

Nitish Kumar personally inspected the residential accommodations and mess facilities provided for trainees, issuing specific directives to officials to ensure optimal living conditions. He emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a well-organized campus environment and guaranteeing proper arrangements for all participants. The CM also visited the Himadri Hostel and reviewed amenities in other hostel buildings to assess the overall infrastructure supporting the skill development initiative.

Direct Interaction with Trainees and Government Commitment

In a significant engagement, the Chief Minister interacted directly with trainees in their classrooms, offering encouragement and urging them to focus intensely on skill acquisition. "The government is unequivocally committed to creating substantial employment opportunities for the youth of Bihar," Nitish Kumar stated during his visit. He elaborated, "Several proactive initiatives have been implemented to make Bihar's youth self-reliant through comprehensive skill development and advanced technical training programs."

Six Major Training Programs and International Employability Focus

According to an official communiqué released after the inspection, the BIPARD Skill Park in Patna is currently running six major capacity-building programs:

  • Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Geriatric Care Giver
  • Fashion Designing
  • Commis (Culinary Arts)
  • Assistant Baking Technician

These programs are specifically designed to train government employees while simultaneously promoting skill development and employment among the broader youth population. Trainees benefit from a complete support package including free accommodation, meals, training kits, and uniforms.

To significantly enhance employability prospects, particularly for international opportunities, the curriculum includes specialized training in English and foreign languages such as German, French, Spanish, and Japanese.

Tangible Employment Outcomes and High-Level Official Presence

The official communiqué highlighted impressive outcomes, noting that apart from government personnel, 667 youth have already completed capacity-building training at the facility. Of these successful trainees, 204 have secured employment both within India and abroad, demonstrating the program's effectiveness in creating tangible career pathways.

The inspection was attended by numerous senior officials including Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary; Principal Secretary to the CM, Deepak Kumar; Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit; Additional Chief Secretary (General Administration) and Director General of BIPARD, B Rajender; Secretaries to the CM Kumar Ravi and Chandrashekhar Singh; Youth, Employment and Skill Development Secretary Kaushal Kishor; District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S M, Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikey K Sharma, along with other key administrative figures.
