PM Modi to Inaugurate 594-km Ganga Expressway in UP on April 29
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to dedicate Uttar Pradesh's longest expressway, the 594-kilometer Ganga Expressway, to the public on April 29 at Bilgram in Hardoi district. The event is expected to draw a massive crowd, with over one lakh people anticipated to witness the historic inauguration.
Preparations Underway for Smooth Event Conduct
To ensure the seamless execution of the ceremony, Deepak Kumar, the chief executive officer of the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), conducted a thorough inspection of the Ganga Expressway on Sunday. Kumar, who also serves as the infrastructure and industrial development commissioner (IIDC), reviewed the arrangements being made at the site, given the large turnout expected.
A large stage and holding area will be established in Bilgram near the venue to accommodate the attendees. The local administration, in collaboration with senior UPEIDA officials, is actively earmarking spaces for the event, including parking facilities. This is crucial as a significant number of vehicles are projected to arrive in Hardoi a day in advance of the inauguration.
Key Dignitaries and Infrastructure Impact
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the expressway stretch alongside Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries. The Ganga Expressway is a critical infrastructure project that promises to substantially reduce commute times between the National Capital Region (NCR) and eastern Uttar Pradesh, enhancing connectivity and boosting regional development.
The expressway's inauguration marks a significant milestone in Uttar Pradesh's infrastructure landscape, aiming to facilitate smoother transportation and economic growth. With meticulous planning underway, authorities are focused on managing the logistics for the high-profile event, ensuring it proceeds without any hitches.
