Ranchi Administration Holds Weekend Camps to Boost Voter Mapping
Ranchi Voter Mapping Camps This Weekend (13.06.2026)

Ranchi: The Ranchi administration is organizing special camps this weekend to enhance mapping efforts ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll. The voter mapping associated with the SIR exercise from 2003 has been inadequate across various locations in the state capital, with figures reaching only 48% as of June 5.

Special Drive Results

Following a special drive conducted on June 6 and 7, the mapping percentage has barely exceeded 50%. According to both the district administration and Election Commission officials, this is significantly below the state saturation level of over 78%. In response, the district administration is again holding a special voter mapping camp on Saturday and Sunday.

Official Statements

“The special drive for mapping voters is ongoing in areas where figures have not reached the saturation level,” stated state chief electoral officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri attributed the low numbers to “general apathy of urban voters towards electoral processes.”
