Telangana Government Announces Second Rythu Bharosa Installment for Farmers
The Telangana government has officially confirmed that the second installment of the Rythu Bharosa scheme, a crucial farm investment support initiative, will be released on April 20. This significant disbursement aims to provide financial assistance to millions of farmers across the state, reinforcing the government's commitment to agricultural welfare.
Details of the Upcoming Disbursement
According to officials from the agriculture department, the second installment will benefit a total of 45,11,947 farmers. A substantial amount of Rs 5,653 crore is scheduled to be deposited directly into the bank accounts of these eligible beneficiaries. This move is part of the ongoing efforts to support agricultural activities and enhance rural livelihoods in Telangana.
The funds will be officially released by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at a public meeting in Kataram, located in the Bhupalpally district. This event is expected to highlight the government's proactive approach in addressing the needs of the farming community.
Background and Previous Installment
The Rythu Bharosa scheme, launched to provide investment support for agricultural operations, has already seen its first installment distributed earlier. On March 23, the initial phase was completed, with all eligible farmers receiving support equivalent to one acre each. During this first disbursement, approximately Rs 3,590 crore was credited to farmers' accounts, marking a significant step in the scheme's implementation.
Under the comprehensive framework of Rythu Bharosa, the government is committed to providing assistance for 1.50 crore acres across Telangana. This is achieved by depositing Rs 6,000 per acre directly into the bank accounts of farmers, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the distribution process. With around 73 lakh farmers in the state, the scheme plays a pivotal role in bolstering the agricultural sector.
Future Plans and Arrangements
Officials have also indicated that preparations are underway for the release of the third installment of the Rythu Bharosa scheme. Efforts are being made to expedite this process, with the goal of completing the second phase promptly to facilitate the subsequent disbursement. This phased approach ensures continuous support and minimizes delays in providing financial aid to farmers.
The Telangana government's initiative through Rythu Bharosa underscores its dedication to enhancing agricultural productivity and supporting the state's farming community. By directly transferring funds, the scheme aims to reduce intermediaries and empower farmers with timely financial resources.
