UP MLA Proposes AI and Cybersecurity Education in State Schools
Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh has formally written to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, urging the state government to integrate artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy, and cybersecurity education into the school curriculum across Uttar Pradesh. This initiative aims to equip students with essential digital skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Preparing Students for the Future Workforce
In his detailed letter, MLA Singh emphasized that early exposure to emerging technologies is crucial for preparing students to compete effectively in the global workforce. He argued that incorporating these subjects from a young age will foster innovation and enhance employability among the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
Proposal for a Dedicated Education Mission
Singh proposed the launch of a dedicated 'UP AI & Digital Education Mission' to systematically implement these educational reforms. The comprehensive proposal includes several key components:
- Introducing AI and coding education starting from Class 6 onwards.
- Establishing state-of-the-art digital laboratories in schools to provide hands-on learning experiences.
- Organizing extensive teacher training programs in collaboration with premier institutions such as IIT Kanpur to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
