Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' mega plantation campaign at Kukrail on Thursday, emphasizing the deep bond between a mother and her child. He stated that every citizen must plant a tree in honor of their mother. The event also saw the establishment of the Maharshi Charak Medicinal Forest.
Key Highlights of the Campaign
During the launch, the Chief Minister planted a camphor sapling, while Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Forests Dr. Arun Saxena planted an Indian gooseberry (Amla) sapling. Minister of State for Forests K.P. Malik planted a neem sapling, and MLA O.P. Srivastava also planted an Amla sapling. More than 200 saplings were planted simultaneously in the presence of the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister took selfies with schoolchildren and interacted with citizens who extended birthday wishes to him. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local residents and students, highlighting the community's commitment to environmental conservation.
