Hisar: Police have registered a criminal case against 11 directors of Aeran Goldsouk Projects Pvt Ltd on allegations of forgery, cheating and use of fabricated documents to obtain official approvals, following an inquiry by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
Complainant's Allegations
According to the FIR, complainant Sunil Kumar, a resident of Fatehabad district, alleged that he purchased Shop No. G-26 in the Aeran Goldsouk Connaught Palace project during 2011-12. He claimed that while possession of the unit was promised in 2014, the company has yet to hand over the property. The complainant further alleged that the company and its directors obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for modification of the project layout by using forged signatures of shop buyers, including his own, without their knowledge or consent. He alleged that the approvals were secured on the basis of fabricated documents submitted to government authorities.
Police Action and Accused
Based on the findings of the EOW inquiry, police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Amit Gupta, Arvind Bahl, Surender Jangra, Madan Singh, Narendra, Shivang Sharma, Vikas Hooda, Lalit Kumar, Hanumat Singh Nathawat, Ravinder Singh and Jaideep. Police said the allegations are being investigated and the role of each accused would be examined during the course of the probe.
The case highlights the growing concerns over real estate fraud in the region. Authorities have urged other potential victims to come forward with any similar complaints. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the probe progresses.
