The Panchkula Traffic Police have intensified their enforcement against roadside parking violators, fining 1,258 vehicles and impounding 17 others during a special drive in June. The initiative, aimed at curbing illegal parking in No Parking Zones, involved issuing traffic slips through both online and manual methods.

Drive to Continue in July

Senior police officials confirmed that the drive will persist throughout July. Road users have been urged to avoid parking in No Parking Zones, warning that vehicles will be towed if found violating the rules. “Please follow traffic rules for your own safety and the safety of others,” officials appealed.

Public Advisories and Signboards Installed

Earlier, the Traffic Police had issued public advisories requesting motorists not to park on roadsides. Additionally, No Parking signboards were installed at important and sensitive locations across the city. Despite these measures, many continued to flout rules, prompting stricter action.
