Gurgaon Police Raids Farmhouse, Arrests 16 Foreign Nationals in Illegal Party
16 Foreigners Arrested in Gurgaon Farmhouse Raid

In a major crackdown on unauthorized gatherings, the Gurgaon police have arrested sixteen foreign nationals following a late-night raid at a farmhouse in the Bhondsi area. The individuals were found to be residing in India without valid documents and were allegedly participating in an illegal liquor party organized without permission.

Details of the Farmhouse Raid

Acting on a specific tip-off, a police team conducted the raid at Elegant Farm, located in Behlpa Greens, Bhondsi. The authorities received information about a group of foreigners gathering for an illicit late-night party. Upon reaching the venue, the police found a large stash of alcohol and cash.

The seizure included over 24 cases of liquor and 16 cases of beer, with an estimated total value of Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, the police confiscated cash amounting to Rs 3.2 lakh, all in bundles of Rs 50 denomination notes. Two decks of playing cards were also seized from the spot, raising suspicions of gambling activities.

Arrests and Legal Action

All sixteen foreign nationals present at the party were taken into custody. Furthermore, two bouncers who were hired for security at the event were also arrested. The farmhouse owner and the manager have been named as accused in the case, and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them.

Police officials stated that the organizer of the party is being identified, and more arrests are likely in the coming days. The arrested foreigners have been booked under relevant sections of the Foreigners Act, the Excise Act, the Haryana Prevention of Public Gambling Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). They will be handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for deportation proceedings.

Police Crackdown on Unauthorized Events

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Hitesh Yadav emphasized that strict directions have been issued to curb such unauthorized events, especially during the ongoing festive and New Year period. "Stern action is being taken against those who are organising such liquor parties without permission," DCP Yadav asserted.

The police highlighted that such gatherings are often exploited for activities that violate the law, particularly by individuals overstaying their visas or living in the country illegally. Verification drives are being intensified across Gurgaon to identify foreign nationals living without valid documents, signaling a broader push to enforce immigration laws.

An officer involved in the operation confirmed, "All those staying illegally in India will be deported following the due legal process." This incident underscores the police's heightened vigilance against illegal activities in the National Capital Region.
