A 19-year-old boy lost his life, and two of his companions sustained injuries when their motorcycle went out of control, struck a divider, and collided with a stationary truck in the Dubagga locality of Lucknow on Sunday afternoon, according to police officials. Authorities confirmed that none of the three young men riding the motorcycle were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.

Police Investigation and Seizure

Inspector Srikant Rai confirmed that the truck involved in the accident has been seized, and a thorough investigation is underway. Preliminary findings indicate that overspeeding and the failure to wear helmets were the primary causes of the tragic incident. The officer emphasized the role of reckless driving and non-compliance with helmet safety norms among young riders in the state capital.

This incident has once again brought to the forefront concerns regarding the prevalence of reckless driving and the poor adherence to helmet safety regulations, especially among the youth in Lucknow.
