2 Dead, 1 Critical in High-Speed Crash on Udaipur-Chittorgarh Highway
2 Killed as Car Hits Divider, Rips Apart in Chittorgarh

A tragic high-speed accident on the Udaipur-Chittorgarh national highway claimed two lives and left one person critically injured on Tuesday morning. The violent crash, attributed to over-speeding and poor visibility due to fog, completely ripped the vehicle apart.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The accident occurred around 7 am near the six-lane bridge close to Narbadi village, falling under the Bhadsoda police station area of Chittorgarh district. According to police reports, a car travelling at high speed from the direction of Udaipur lost control and slammed into a road divider.

The impact of the collision was devastating. The car was torn into pieces, with its parts scattered across the highway, indicating the extreme force involved.

Victims and Immediate Aftermath

Mahendra Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhadsoda police station, provided details about the victims. The two deceased, who died instantly at the scene, were identified as Dhruv Suthar (20) and Somiyo Salvi (19).

The third occupant, Praveen Jat (20), sustained serious injuries. He was initially rushed to a nearby hospital by a national highway ambulance and was later referred to Udaipur for further treatment. All three young men were residents of Udaipur and were on their way to Chittorgarh when the tragedy struck.

Police Investigation and Scene Clearance

Preliminary investigation by the Bhadsoda police points to over-speeding combined with low visibility caused by morning fog as the likely reasons behind the fatal accident. The damaged vehicle was eventually removed from the highway using a crane to restore normal traffic flow.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of speeding, especially during winter months when fog can severely compromise road safety. Authorities continue to urge drivers to exercise extreme caution and adhere to speed limits on highways.
