Fatal Collision Near Balaji Temple

Two teenagers were killed after a speeding pickup truck allegedly struck their motorcycle head-on near Balaji Temple T-point in Kalka late on Saturday night. The vehicle ran over the bike before going out of control and falling into a gorge. The driver reportedly fled the scene.

Victims Identified

The deceased were identified as Arush (19), a BA LLB student at Agrasen University, and his friend Shivansh (16). They were on their way to the Balaji Temple when the accident occurred.

Emergency Response

Locals rushed both youths to a hospital, where doctors declared Arush dead on arrival. Shivansh, who sustained serious injuries, was referred to PGI Chandigarh for advanced treatment after initial care. He later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Family and Legal Action

Arush is survived by his parents and an elder brother, while Shivansh was the only son of his parents and had an elder sister. Based on a complaint filed by Manoj Kumar, a resident of Pinjore and father of the deceased Arush, a case of death by negligence has been registered at Kalka police station.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the pickup truck driver who fled the spot. The accident has sparked concerns over road safety in the area.
