A late-night celebration turned into an unimaginable tragedy in Hyderabad when four young students lost their lives in a devastating road accident. The incident occurred in the Mokila area, casting a pall of grief over their families and educational institution.
Chilling Details of the Fatal Collision
According to the Mokila police, the accident took place in the early hours of Thursday, around 1 AM. Five students were travelling in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) from Mokila towards Narsingi when the driver lost control. The vehicle, moving at a high speed, slammed into a tree with tremendous force.
The impact of the collision was so severe that it left the SUV completely mangled. The group was returning after celebrating the birthday of one of the deceased. Sumit, whose birthday it was, was behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
Victims Identified, Lone Survivor Injured
Police Inspector Veera Babu provided the identities of those involved in the heartbreaking incident. The four young men who died were Sumit, Nikhil, Rohit, and Surya. The sole survivor, Nakshatra, sustained injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Among the deceased, Sumit, Nikhil, and Surya were pursuing their BBA degrees at the prestigious ICFAI Business School (IBS). The educational community has been left in shock by the sudden loss of these young lives with promising futures.

While the vehicle was travelling at high speed, police are yet to confirm if drunk driving was a contributing factor.
