7 Arrested, 125 Litres Liquor Seized in Sitamarhi Raid

In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, police in Bihar's Sitamarhi district conducted a successful raid on Monday night, leading to multiple arrests and seizures.

Major Raid in Mango Orchard Nets Seven

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided a secluded mango orchard located in Narha village within the Sitamarhi district. The operation, carried out under the cover of darkness, resulted in the arrest of seven people who were allegedly involved in illicit activities on the premises.

Substantial Contraband and Stolen Vehicles Recovered

The police confiscated a large quantity of illegal liquor from the spot. The seized contraband amounted to 125 litres of illicit liquor. In addition to the alcohol, officers also recovered three stolen motorcycles, indicating possible links to vehicle theft crimes in the region.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as residents of Sitamarhi district. They are: Shankar Kumar, Jai Kishore Mahto, Lal Babu Yadav, Anjani Kushawaha, Krishna Kumar, Biltu Kumar, and Krishna Prasad.

Ongoing Investigations and Legal Action

All the arrested accused are currently being questioned by the police. Authorities are investigating the source of the seized liquor and the intended distribution network. They are also working to trace the origins of the stolen motorcycles and connect them to any pending theft cases.
