PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has urged the Tamil Nadu government to grant sanction to prosecute DMK minister Senthil Balaji in an Enforcement Directorate (ED) case. The case pertains to allegations of collecting money from innocent youths under the pretext of providing jobs in state-run transport corporations.
Details of the Allegations
According to the ED, Senthil Balaji is accused of fraudulently collecting funds from job seekers by promising them employment in Tamil Nadu's transport corporations. The investigation has reportedly uncovered evidence of a large-scale scam involving several individuals.
Anbumani's Request
In a letter to the state government, Anbumani demanded that the necessary legal procedures be initiated to prosecute the minister. He emphasized that the case involves serious financial irregularities and must be handled without political interference.
The PMK leader's move comes amid ongoing political tensions in Tamil Nadu, with opposition parties accusing the ruling DMK of shielding its members. The state government has yet to respond to the request.
This development adds to the legal challenges faced by Senthil Balaji, who has been under scrutiny for multiple cases. The ED's investigation is expected to continue, with further details awaited.
