Tragic Accident in Arunachal Pradesh's Shi-Yomi District Leaves One Dead, Three Injured
A devastating road accident near Yapik village in Arunachal Pradesh's Shi-Yomi district resulted in one fatality and three serious injuries in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred when a car carrying four individuals plunged into a deep gorge, falling approximately 70-80 meters off the road.
Details of the Fatal Incident
According to Tato Police Station officer in-charge Sunny Wangsu, the accident happened between 12am and 1am on Sunday. The vehicle was traveling from Shi-Yomi district to Aalo in West Siang district when it veered off the road near Yapik village. Police authorities have stated they are uncertain about the exact cause of the accident but suspect the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
The deceased victim has been identified as Sandeep Kr Sain, a 40-year-old businessman from Aalo who originally hailed from Rajasthan. His body was transported to the district hospital in Tato for post-mortem examination. The three injured passengers, all in serious condition, were immediately shifted to Aalo zonal general hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Identification of the Injured Passengers
Police confirmed that all passengers in the vehicle were non-locals. The injured individuals have been identified as:
- Suraj Rai, aged 23
- Vishal Jain, aged 34
- Amarjeet Thakur, aged 35
