Autorickshaw driver murdered over money dispute in Bengaluru

A financial dispute turned deadly after a 25-year-old autorickshaw driver was allegedly murdered by his friend and a relative in Bengaluru. The accused then dumped the body in a pit at a vacant site on the city outskirts.

Victim Identified

The victim has been identified as Rakshith N, a resident of Udhay Layout in Tavarekere. His mother, Pushpalatha, reported that Rakshith left home around 6 p.m. on Sunday to collect money that his friend Mohin Pasha owed him.

Disappearance and Confession

When Rakshith failed to return home, his worried family began searching for him. On Monday, Pushpalatha confronted Pasha, who allegedly confessed to the murder. Pasha claimed that he, his relative Hasan, and Rakshith had gone near Ramasandra Lake, where an argument broke out.

Brutal Assault

The duo allegedly assaulted Rakshith with a wooden log and smashed a stone on his head, killing him on the spot. After the murder, the accused disposed of the body in a pit at Ramasandra, where garbage is dumped.

Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
