The arrests occurred during an intensive vehicle checking drive conducted at the Lohia Nagar police overbridge, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Lohia Nagar police station in the city.
Police Act on Tip-Off to Intercept Smugglers
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Manish, law enforcement officials had received a credible tip-off indicating that bike-borne smugglers from Munger were en route to deliver arms to criminals in Begusarai. Acting swiftly on this intelligence, the police mobilized a targeted operation to intercept the suspects.

Significant Seizure of Weapons and Evidence
The police confiscated four pistols and four magazines, highlighting the serious nature of the smuggling attempt. Additionally, a cellphone was seized, which may provide further investigative leads into the criminal network. The motorcycle used by the alleged criminals was also impounded as part of the operation.
"This successful operation underscores our commitment to curbing illegal arms trade and ensuring public safety in Begusarai," stated SP Manish, emphasizing the proactive measures taken by the police force.
