According to police reports, a 50-year-old security guard named Nagaraju is accused of murdering his 45-year-old wife, Rangamma, by slitting her throat at their rented residence.

The victim, Rangamma, worked as housekeeping staff, while her husband Nagaraju was employed as a security guard. Police investigations revealed that Nagaraju had a history of alcoholism and frequently engaged in arguments with his wife over minor issues. This pattern of domestic conflict ultimately culminated in the violent altercation that claimed Rangamma's life.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Tragedy
Neighbors reported hearing the couple arguing loudly around 8:30 PM on Sunday evening. The disturbance continued for approximately an hour before suddenly ceasing around 9:30 PM. Concerned by the abrupt silence, neighbors knocked on the couple's door to check on them.
Upon entering the residence, they discovered a horrifying scene: Rangamma lying on the floor in a pool of blood with her throat slit, while Nagaraju was nowhere to be found. The neighbors immediately alerted one of the couple's sons, who rushed to the house and subsequently informed the police.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Officers from the Mico Layout police station launched a manhunt for the suspect and successfully tracked down Nagaraju on Monday. During interrogation, Nagaraju confessed to attacking his wife with a knife in a fit of rage following their argument. He has been arrested and is currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
