A quiet evening in Bengaluru's Kothanur district turned into a scene of unimaginable tragedy when a drunken argument between a father and son culminated in fatal gun violence. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday night, has sent shockwaves through the local community.
The Fateful Night
According to police reports, 65-year-old Muniswamy returned home in an intoxicated state around 10 PM. What began as a routine family disagreement quickly escalated into a violent confrontation with his 35-year-old son, Nandish.
"The argument turned physical when Muniswamy allegedly brandished a country-made pistol and fired at his son from close range," stated investigating officers. The single gunshot proved fatal, with Nandish collapsing on the spot.
Immediate Aftermath
Family members and neighbors, startled by the gunshot, rushed to the scene only to find Nandish lying in a pool of blood. Despite immediate medical attention, the young man was declared dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
