Bengaluru Police Solve 3 Theft Cases, Seize Rs 3 Crore

In a significant breakthrough, the Bengaluru police have successfully cracked three major theft cases, recovering stolen property valued at approximately Rs 3 crore. A total of 17 individuals have been arrested in connection with these incidents, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Gold Theft at Private Company

In a notable operation, the Halasuru Gate police apprehended nine employees of a private gold company for allegedly stealing 618 grams of gold bars. The stolen gold is estimated to be worth Rs 89 lakh. The arrests were made after a detailed investigation following a complaint lodged by the company management.

The accused were identified as workers who had access to the gold storage areas. They allegedly hatched a plan to pilfer the gold bars over several days. Police recovered the entire stolen gold from the suspects' possession.

Other Theft Cases Solved

In addition to the gold theft, the police solved two other burglary cases. In one case, a gang of four was arrested for breaking into a jewelry shop and stealing ornaments worth Rs 1.2 crore. The police recovered most of the stolen items.

In another incident, four suspects were nabbed for stealing cash and valuables from a businessman's residence in the city. The stolen goods, including cash and gold jewelry worth Rs 91 lakh, were recovered.

Police Investigation and Recoveries

Senior police officials stated that the recoveries were made possible due to diligent investigation and technical surveillance. The total value of recovered items across the three cases is around Rs 3 crore.

“We have arrested 17 people and recovered stolen gold, cash, and other valuables. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody,” said a police officer.

The police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. They also advised business establishments to strengthen their security measures.
