In a significant crackdown, the Pratap Nagar police in Bhilwara conducted a late-night raid at a spa centre, leading to the arrest of nine individuals, including five women and four men. The operation took place on Tuesday at the Mansarovar Beauty Salon and Spa Centre located in the Patelnagar area near Mansarovar Lake.
Decoy Operation Leads to Raid
Acting on specific information, Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh formed a special team under the supervision of station in-charge Rajpal Singh. The police first sent a decoy customer to the establishment to gather evidence. According to officials, negotiations for prostitution services were conducted inside a private cabin. Once the deal was confirmed, the police teams swiftly moved in and carried out the raid.
Accused Hailed from Multiple Locations
The police apprehended a diverse group of individuals from different regions. Among the five women arrested, three were from Delhi, one from Udaipur, and one was a national of Thailand. The four men taken into custody included a customer identified as Parag Chaturvedi, Kailash Jat from Dathal, the spa operator Ramratan Kumawat, and a helper named Jagdish Prajapati.
Authorities stated that the spa was allegedly operating as a front for illicit activities, disguising them under the pretense of providing body therapy and wellness services.
Legal Action and Ongoing Probe
All the accused have been booked under the stringent Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act along with other relevant sections of the law. The Bhilwara police have confirmed that a thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway to uncover further details and possible links of the racket.
This raid highlights the continued vigilance of the Rajasthan police against activities violating moral laws in the state. The use of a decoy customer proved to be a critical tactic in gathering concrete evidence before the interception.
