Bhojpur Police Apprehend Two Armed Criminals in Midnight Operation
In a swift and decisive action, police in Bhojpur district successfully arrested two criminals, one of whom is a known history-sheeter, along with a cache of arms and ammunition. The operation unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, following a critical tip-off received by authorities.
Midnight Tip-Off Leads to Arrest
Acting on intelligence gathered shortly past midnight, law enforcement officials were alerted about two suspects traveling towards Chandi in a white-colored SUV. Chandi SHO Rakesh Kumar Roushan detailed the events, stating, "Immediately, a police team rushed to verify the information and nab the criminals." The police intercepted the suspected vehicle near the Khangaon embankment, prompting the criminals to abandon their SUV and flee on foot along the embankment.
After a brief but intense chase, both individuals were apprehended by the police. The arrested criminals have been identified as Vikash Kumar, aged 23, and his 19-year-old accomplice Bajrangi Kumar. Vikash, son of Rambabu Rai from Khangaon village, is noted as a history-sheeter with prior criminal records, adding significance to this arrest.
