As they reached the main road in front of the water tank near TRT market, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle swiftly snatched Kasturi's bag. The sudden force of the snatching caused the Activa scooter to become unbalanced, leading both women to fall onto the road. The impact of the fall resulted in significant injuries for both victims.

Jyoti sustained injuries to her right shoulder, while Kasturi suffered more severe injuries, including a head injury and damage to her right hand. Passersby at the scene quickly intervened, admitting both women to a private hospital for urgent medical treatment.
