In a decisive move to curb illegal activities, Bhopal police have initiated stringent enforcement measures at farmhouses, marriage gardens, and restaurants, particularly on the city's outskirts. The measures include mandatory installation of CCTV cameras and maintenance of detailed records.
Meeting with Farmhouse Operators
As part of this drive, a meeting of all farmhouse operators in the Eintkhedi area was held at the local police station on Monday. SDOP Eintkhedi and SHO Ashish Sapre, along with other police personnel, interacted with the operators to outline new compliance requirements.
Mandatory Documentation
Police issued strict instructions for operators to maintain a complete file of all valid documents related to their establishments. This includes land records, diversion permissions, TNCP approvals, Gumashta license, and GST registration. Operators were also directed to ensure mandatory character verification, or police verification, of farmhouse owners, managers, and security personnel.
Security Enhancements
To strengthen security arrangements, police instructed that CCTV cameras must be installed at key locations on the premises. Additionally, operators have been directed to maintain a proper register for every booking, recording details and identification documents of guests.
These measures aim to bring greater accountability and transparency to the functioning of such venues, which have often been used for unauthorized gatherings and activities. The police have warned of strict action against non-compliance.
