In a shocking incident in Bhopal, two college students were shot and critically injured on Saturday night after they objected to loud music being played in their neighborhood. The attack occurred in the Katara Hills area, leaving the victims hospitalized in serious condition. Police have swiftly registered a case of murderous assault against three accused individuals, who are also reported to be students.
Details of the Violent Confrontation
According to police reports, the complainant, identified as Hemant, is a first-year college student. On Saturday night, Hemant and his senior, Vasu, went to the parking area of a multi-storey building in their colony to meet with friends who had initially raised the objection to the loud music. Shortly after their arrival, the accused descended to the parking area.
One of the accused aggressively demanded, "Who among you objected?" Before anyone could respond, he pulled out a pistol and opened fire. Vasu was struck by a bullet and fled in an attempt to save his life. Police stated that two other friends, Harish and Anshutej, managed to escape by hiding behind pillars during the chaotic scene.
Escape and Immediate Aftermath
The three accused fled the scene on a motorcycle after issuing death threats to the victims. Anshutej was also hit by a bullet during the attack. As the injured were being transported to the hospital, they recounted the events leading up to the shooting to authorities.
Earlier that night, after having dinner with friends, the victims were preparing to sleep in their room. However, loud noises from an adjacent room prevented them from resting. When they went to object, the accused first verbally abused them and then instructed them to wait for ten minutes. Following this, the victims went downstairs, and shortly afterward, the accused arrived and opened fire on them.
