Bhubaneswar Rocked by Murder and Dramatic Car Crash

The city of Bhubaneswar was shaken on Monday by a violent sequence of events that began with a fatal stabbing in a suspected love triangle and culminated in a dramatic car accident that narrowly avoided further tragedy.

Deadly Confrontation in Niladri Vihar

According to police reports, the incident unfolded in the early hours of Monday at a residence in Niladri Vihar, under the jurisdiction of the Chandrasekharpur police station. The confrontation involved 30-year-old car driver Satyabrata Pradhan, another man identified as Dinesh Kandi, and a woman who works at a local beauty parlour.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagmohan Meena provided details of the violent altercation: "Pradhan had arrived at the woman's house in his employer's vehicle. An argument erupted among the three individuals regarding their personal relationships. The situation quickly escalated, leading Kandi to attack Pradhan with a knife, inflicting a severe throat wound."

Victim's Desperate Attempt for Help

Despite his critical injury, Pradhan managed to stagger towards the main road while calling for assistance. The woman present at the scene claimed she immediately contacted emergency services and alerted neighbours. "He was transported to Capital Hospital via ambulance, with neighbours following in Pradhan's own vehicle," police quoted her as saying.

Tragically, medical professionals at Capital Hospital declared Pradhan deceased upon arrival. Police have detained the woman for extensive questioning while launching a manhunt for the alleged perpetrator, Dinesh Kandi.

Police Investigation Underway

Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder. "We are meticulously examining call records and social media communications between all three individuals to establish a clear motive," DCP Meena stated. "The complete sequence of events will become clearer once we apprehend Kandi."

Panicked Response Leads to Dangerous Accident

In a startling development following the murder, the owner of the vehicle Pradhan had been driving panicked upon learning about the incident. Fearing police would impound the car as evidence in the homicide case, the owner enlisted another driver to help retrieve the vehicle from Capital Hospital.

DCP Meena explained the subsequent events: "While attempting to flee the area, the driver lost control of the vehicle on the Sishu Bhawan overbridge. The car collided with the bridge wall before plummeting dangerously close to a cluster of shanties situated below."

Community Impact and Ongoing Investigation

The combined incidents have sent shockwaves through the Bhubaneswar community, highlighting how personal disputes can escalate into public safety concerns. Police continue their search for Dinesh Kandi while investigating both the murder and the subsequent accident. The dramatic sequence serves as a sobering reminder of how quickly domestic conflicts can spiral into violence with far-reaching consequences.
