Vadodara Police Arrest Notorious Bichhu Gang Member in Major Crackdown

The arrest followed a precise tip-off that led police to the railway station area, where the accused was taken into custody without incident.

The arrested individual has been identified as Ashpaq Sheikh, a 40-year-old resident of Yakutpura. According to police reports, Sheikh was involved in a brutal assault approximately twelve days prior to his arrest. The incident stemmed from an old personal dispute, during which Sheikh attacked two men with a sharp weapon, leaving one seriously injured.
Following the violent altercation, a formal case was registered against Sheikh at the City police station. The accused subsequently fled the area, initiating an intensive manhunt by Vadodara authorities. His capture marks the culmination of dedicated investigative work by the DCB team.

Police investigations have uncovered that Ashpaq Sheikh possesses an extensive and troubling criminal record. Authorities have confirmed that a total of twenty-six separate offences are registered against him across multiple jurisdictions.
